don´t use old basic engine in a modern program...

Shut down PC ? Restart PC ? Where is the need for this function ?
PCs today is much faster than those 10 years ago... Unless you have a million of video...
There is too many good freeware programs on the internet, so many users use them instead of an old engined program.
